The best months for travelling along the coast and in the mountainous areas are the mid-seasons, particularly April-May and September-October, which also are the best times to visit the country’s archaeological treasures. In the desert and oasis areas, the best season is winter, particularly from October to March. During this period, temperatures can be low at night (even below zero in December and January) but pleasant during the day.
