Sudan and Egypt are two countries that are inextricably linked. They share a glorious history and a territory, Nubia, the cradle of powerful civilizations of which today remains an archaeological heritage of immense value.
On this journey, which follows the course of the Nile from south to north, we will retrace the history of Ancient Nubia, a region that extends from Aswan to Khartoum, beyond the national borders of Egypt (Lower Nubia) and Sudan (Upper Nubia).
“Egypt outside Egypt”, Sudan is so often called, a peaceful and wonderful country that seems suspended in time, among pyramids, ancient temples, necropolis, ruins of legendary cities that emerge from the desert sands and green palm groves that gently frame the placid course of the Nile. Following the flow of the river, from Khartoum, we will head north, to the imposing archaeological complex of Abu Simbel, then discovering on board a dahabeya the “submerged” treasures of Lake Nasser, retracing the history of the great dynasties that imposed their dominion over these very rich lands, leaving us a priceless treasure as a legacy.
