All the best of Ghana, between varied and enchanting landscapes and the folklore of its different ethnic groups. A journey from the beaches beaten by the oceanic winds of the Atlantic Ocean, to the cool and imposing waterfalls of the eastern part of the country, to the arid expanses of the northern savannahs, between red earth tracks and fortified villages.
From the voodoo legacies along the Atlantic coast, to the sumptuous Ashanti funerals in rich Kumasi. From the initiations of the Krobo girls in the Volta region, to the propitiatory dances and animist rituals of the North. From the lively fishing Fante villages of the South, to the mud and clay architectures of the Gourunsi, with their homes similar to small fortresses decorated with geometric patterns. And again, sacred caves in the Tongo Hills, where old wise men jealously guard animist secrets and are said to have the power to communicate with the spirits of their ancestors. A journey with a marked ethnographic character, between hospitable populations and traditions that persist over time and draw new life from the confrontation with a modernity that does not seem to threaten its essence at all.
